We are delighted to share the news that Serena Joseph has taken up a position on the Advisory Board of CourtCorrect as of September 2023.

Serena has decades of experience in financial services regulation and compliance. She started her career as a Graduate at Barclays in London, initially as a corporate banker before switching into organisational design – followed by a new role at KPMG, helping to grow their Financial Services Regulatory Practice team. Serena was able to transform the team from embryonic to market leader within 3 years.

Serena then took her talents to Deutsche Bank, as COO and Head of Legal & Compliance for Maxblue, the company’s investment platform. Within 9 months, Serena was able to implement the key operational structures and business practices required for the company to secure an Irish Banking licence and begin trading. Serena then moved to Ernst & Young as an Executive Consultant & Operations Director, where she created their Financial Services Regulatory Advisory Practice. During her time there, Serena took a team of 10 to over 150 consultants.

Following this, Serena became a partner at Mazars LLP, one of the largest audit, accounting and advisory firms. At Mazars, she founded their Financial Services Regulatory Practice, building out their regulatory practice model. Initially focused on the UK, the model was to be rolled out across the European practices within the partnership.

Currently, Serena holds INED positions at ICICI Bank and Kroo Bank, acting as Consumer Duty Champion at both banks. Outside of this, she is the Vice-Chair of the Membership Committee at The Naval & Military Club (the “In & Out”) a private members’ club based in London.

Serena Joseph had this to say about joining CourtCorrect:

“CourtCorrect is a game changing proposition. Under Consumer Duty firms recognise the need to integrate a deep understanding of customer complaints into the business’s dealings with the customer and - essential to attaining the outcomes under Consumer Duty - demonstrate consistent treatment of customers in the complaints process, ensure staff competence and then take that learning back into all stages of the product redesign/design and training to make the customer’s journey seamless. It’s a pleasure to work with such an agile, curious and capable team.”

Ludwig Bull, Founder & CEO of CourtCorrect commented on Serena’s appointment:

“Serena combines the best of all worlds – she brings a huge amount of industry experience to CourtCorrect, but we were particularly struck by her interest in and creative ability to contribute to our suite of AI products. Her incredibly quick wit and good-humour make her a wonderful addition to our team and we are excited to work with her!”

Serena joins several other key members of the CourtCorrect advisory board, including Amir Ali OBE, who has over 35 years of experience in the legal field. Combined with the knowledge and expertise of Felix Steffek, Associate Professor of Law at the University of Cambridge, and Ian Cohen, a lawyer with over 30 years of experience in the medical negligence field, Serena will be able to provide a fresh outlook on the future of CourtCorrect.

CourtCorrect continues to innovate in the field of regulated complaints AI. Building on top of final response letter automation and complaint outcome prediction, CourtCorrect is positioning itself to become the market leader in helping companies deploy AI in complaints handling with maximum impact on customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
